Abstract

Breeding work was conducted to create a high-yielding, high-flavor melon variety suitable for export. This resulted in the L-53 line, an early-ripening variety that matures in 65 days. Fruit are spherical, have a 1.1 index, weigh 2-2.5 kg, are bright yellow, have a solid net, and have white flesh. The soluble matter content is 14.7%, and the yield is 28.5 t/ha.
