Abstract

This article presents the results of scientific research on the expression of flower pattern types in the offspring obtained from homogeneous and heterogeneous mating of Karakalpak grey Karakul lambs belonging to the Nurata factory type. The study evaluates the degree to which specific flower pattern types are inherited depending on the mating method. The results showed that under homogeneous mating of sheep with the semi-circular qalamgul pattern type, nearly twothirds of the offspring (64.2 ± 1.19%) also belonged to this type, while the proportion of low-value o‘sikgul type offspring significantly decreased (6.2 ± 0.60%). It should be noted that in the Karakul sheep population, a certain number of low-value o‘sikgul type animals are found depending on the level of selective breeding. Reducing their proportion is considered one of the important objectives of breeding programs.
