Abstract

This article provides a comprehensive analysis of the current state, dynamics, and efficiency of water resource use in the Republic of Uzbekistan across regions. Based on statistical data from 2004 to 2022, the study evaluates trends in water consumption under conditions of population growth, industrialization, and the expansion of agricultural activities. A declining trend in total water consumption as well as in water use per hectare of irrigated land has been identified at both national and regional levels. These findings indicate the positive outcomes of ongoing reforms aimed at improving water resource management, conservation, and efficient water use.
