Abstract

This article studies the sowing dates, sowing schemes, and ways to increase seed productivity of common bean (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) as a main and repeated crop in the conditions of the southern region of Uzbekistan. The experiments were conducted in 2025 at the Surkhandarya Scientific Experimental Station of the Research Institute of Vegetables, Melons and Potatoes. The effect of spring sowing dates, sowing schemes, and seed density on seed was studied. The results showed that the optimal sowing dates for common bean are April 1 and a 60×10/2 cm sowing scheme, which leads to high plant development and yield. For seed, the 60×10 cm scheme provided the highest seed productivity.
