Soil water permeability is one of the most important factors in obtaining high yields from agricultural crops. This article reviews the effect of one-, two- and three-component mixtures of siderat crops and additional manure on the soil water regime in the conditions of saline soils of the Republic of Karakalpakstan. The use of legumes and cereals as siderat crops had a positive effect on the soil structure and served to increase its porosity. Also, in the experiments conducted, there were significant changes in the absorption and filtration of water in the topsoil layer of the soil. In studying the effect of siderat crops on soil water permeability, soil density is inextricably linked.
